Dead By Daylight’s Halloween Event Is Underway And See Which Killers Did The Best This Month
The Entity's Realm is now a Halloween playground.
If you haven’t been in Dead by Daylight in a few days you’ve been missing out on the game’s limited-time Halloween event, Haunted by Daylight. The event kicked off on October 13 and will run until November 3 – meaning you still have time to get in on the action if you want. There's even a free weekend coming on October 27th if you haven't played yet but would like a little bit of a "test drive."
The event modifies selected realms, opening a rift in the sky, updating Generators, Hooks, Exit Gates, and the Basement with creepy designs, and just generally making things creepier and a new Haunted by Daylight Bloodprint offering is being introduced. Some past Haunted by Daylight items will be making a return as well, the Will O’ Wisp flashlight, the All Hallows’ Even Lunchbox Med-Kit, and the Blight Serum.
Speaking of returning content, pumpkins are back and ready to be destroyed, potentially granting players a Haste Status effect. Of course, destroying the pumpkins could also result in a Hindered Status effect or nothing at all. Or, they could grant players a new gameplay mechanic, Void Energy. This mechanic will only be available during the event.
Players can collect Void energy in a variety of ways – the pumpkins are only one method. Collect enough and deposit it in an Unstable Rift to earn up to 12 Halloween Cosmetics for both the Killer and Survivor. A full rundown on Void Energy and how to use it is available on the Dead by Daylight site.
On another note, the Dead by Daylight team dropped some kill rate stats on the game’s forums. It highlights the effect changes made to the game’s system back in June have had on improving the Survivor kill rate. At present, it’s up from 51% - 53% to 59% - 61%. The post includes several charts those interested can peruse allowing you to see is the Killer of choice in all modes and in matches played by the top 5% of players according to their MMR.
