Dead By Daylight Devs Confirm Leatherface Is "Not Going Anywhere" And Kicks Off The "Moonlight Burrow" Event
Players can start celebrating the annual event early and gain previously-released Lunar New Year cosmetics.
Earlier last week, a moderator from DbDLeaks Discord was drumming up rumors that Behaviour Interactive wouldn't renew the character license for Leatherface in Dead by Daylight. The devs took to Twitter today to clear suspicion over the character's supposed departure, saying the Killer is "not going anywhere."
Behaviour stated they will always notify players "if a licensed character ever needs to leave" Dead by Daylight, which isn't the case for ol' Leatherface. The confirmation comes around the time of the annual "Moonlight Burrow" event for the game, set to run from January 24th to February 7th at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
However, for eager fans who missed out last year, the returning event will have a limited-time early celebration from today to January 24th to earn old rewards. The short event will make previously-released Lunar New Year cosmetics from the "Scarlet Swarm," the "Gilded Stampede," and "Lurking Stripes" events go on sale in the DBD in-game store. The devs will also give away codes with the cosmetics on their social media pages, so keep an eye out!
Logging in daily throughout the event rewards players with cosmetics for Killers and Survivors. Additionally, Generators, Hooks, and Exit Gates will get a Lunar-themed makeover during the event. The return of the Red Envelope and Paper Lanterns will spice up matches, and there are even more new cosmetics for players to add to their inventories.
