DDO's Second Preview For Update 57 Is Available Until Tomorrow, Debuts New Quests, System Changes, And More
As usual, anything within the preview server Lamannia is not final and subject to change.
Daybreak Games has opened its preview server Lamannia for the second time alongside new additions coming in the later-released Update 57 for Dungeons & Dragons Online. The server now contains a quest pack for levels 16/33, system and balance changes, and bug fixes.
The Lamannia server showcasing parts of Update 57, also known as "Grip of the Hidden Hand," kicked off yesterday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will conclude sometime tomorrow afternoon. Players can access the new content during the preview window after speaking with Lord Poincelot in the Test Dojo, granting fans specific DDO points used to purchase a content pack in the "New to DDO" section of the Preview Store. Following, players must speak with The Questgiver NPC to teleport to a Public area for the quests available in the second preview.

Once in, five quests in the upcoming content patch will be available, such as "Order in the Court" and "Growing Pains." Each one has threads on the DDO forums where fans can talk about their experiences and give the devs feedback on their implementation. Moreover, The Loot Guy NPC in the Test Dojo received an update and now carries new items that will appear in Update 57.
Adjustments to Hit-Point Pass and Imbue System have undergone some overhauls, the former providing significant buffs to certain classes and the latter bringing "new cohesion across multiple builds."
As for bugs, quite an extensive list of them got resolved, including, but not limited to, Update 57 items with proper flavor texts and icons, "Ride the Lightning" in Stormsinger now giving its intended bonus, and typos and text errors corrected.
If you want more details on the second limited-time preview, you can check it out on the DDO forums!
