DC Universe Online Teases Plans For The Next Few Months
There are seasonal events, new content, and eventually Episode 43: Dark Knights.
It would seem that DC Universe Online players have a good bit to look forward to between now and April. The most recent post on the game’s site outlines the developer’s plans for the game and between a couple of seasonal events, a new ally, new rewards, and the impending arrival of Dark Knights (based on the Dark Nights comics), there’s a lot going on.
For now, players can look forward to the return of the game’s Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day events (not necessarily at once), in addition to the game’s anniversary celebration. During this time a new ally: Bombshell Harley Quinn will be added, as will daily rewards and new custom play interfaces. The devs are also continuing to offer love to Omnimbus, currently addressing balancing scaled elite content.
When April arrives, players can look forward to Episode 43: Dark Knights, in which the DC Universe’s heroes have failed and Perpetua is reshaping the Multiverse. Good worlds are being destroyed. The Batman Who Laughs is running amok. Things aren’t great. But, there is hope as an alliance of heroes and villains comes together to take a stand against Perpetua. That’s where the players come in. This is the end of the game’s current storyline, so expect it to be a big one.
The new episode will include normal and elite versions of all On Duty content, open-world missions, characters from previous Dark Knights content, and more. A specific launch date has not been revealed for the episode’s release. But, we do know it will be available on all platforms sometime in April.
