Daybreak Games Gears Up For Extra Life 2024: DCUO, Planetside 2, And Other Teams Participating
Four of their studios are forming a Super Team to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network.
Once again, it’s almost time for Extra Life United. If you’re not familiar, Extra Life is a charity that supports Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, but in a very gamer way. Every year, streamers, developers, and other members of the gaming community come together to raise money for the charity – generally by playing games and encouraging their community to donate.
Daybreak has been participating since 2017 and in that time has raised over $650,000 for the charity. Once again, the company is participating. More specifically, four of the games and studios under their umbrella have decided to create a Super Team. They will still be fundraising individually, but all the effort will go to Daybreak’s collective fundraising efforts. The Super Team is made of up the DC Universe Online team, the Standing Stone Games team, the Planetside 2 Team, and the Darkpaw Games team.
To help get things started, Daybreak is contributing $5,000 to each of these teams, for a total of $20,000. Beyond that each team sets their own goals and incentives, inviting their communities to take part. As for the money, every team will be donating to their nearest Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
