Daybreak Apparently Has A New Game In The Works...If A New Trademark Filing Is Anything To Go By
It’s time to play “guess what that game might be”.
It would appear that Daybreak Games has something new in the works – either that or they’re trademarking stuff for a rainy day. A Reddit user was poking around on the USPTO site (as one does) and discovered a trademark filing for something called “Myths and Monoliths”.
The rest of the filing follows more or less what we’d expect from a trademark filing made by a video game company. Under the “goods and services” section, it lists “computer game software and video game software, downloadable multiplayer, role-playing, real-time computer and video game software via an online website for entertainment purposes”. It goes on to add to the description that the intended product is an entertainment service that provides “an online multiplayer, role-playing, real-time computer game for others via the internet”.
At this point, we know whatever it is will be an online game and the RP portion makes it sound like another MMO. Although, with the wide variety of multiplayer games available, that’s not guaranteed. It could just be them covering all their bases. As MassivelyOP points out, we’ll have to wait a bit to know for sure, as this isn’t a press release, but info someone dug up.
