Dawntrail’s Early Access Is Now Live In Final Fantasy XIV, Team Working On Known Issues
So far, the journey’s been pretty smooth.
The day has finally come. (For those that chose to purchase the Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail CE anyway.) The Dawntrail Early Access is finally underway in the MMORPG and players can now step foot on the continent of Yok Tural. If so inclined, they can head to Ul’dah or Gridania and pick up the Viper or Pictomancer job, respectively.
Whatever you do, don’t forget to go pick up a new Wonderous Tales. Any way you go, there’s leveling to be done. You can also pick up your free Fantasia after completing a short quest in Ul’dah, just in case you feel like you need to update your character to match the shinier new graphics.
So far, all the reported issues in the game appear to be fairly small. There are a few mechanics issues in certain instances, a small issue with the /tell feature, and (for some people), the currency indicator on their HUD may appear as a small box. That’s an easy fix, just click on the box to open your currency menu and click the settings wheel. Then make sure you have the default set to Gil. (I’ve tried it, it works.)
As for login queues, we can’t speak for everyone, but our limited experience this morning indicates it’s not too bad. It’s definitely not on Endwalker levels. Hopefully, this remains true as people are getting off work and trying to log in.
