Dauntless Developer Phoenix Labs Sees CEO And COO Step Down
Both will serve as advisors.
Phoenix Labs, developers of Dauntless and the newly released Fae Farm, is going through some changes in upper management. Both CEO Jesse Houston and COO Jeanne-Marie Owens are stepping down according to GamesIndustry.Biz.
Houston is said to remain active on the studio's board of directors and will also serve as an advisor to Phoenix Labs, while Owens will also take on the role of an advisor.
"After nearly a decade, I feel like I can step back from the day-to-day operations at Phoenix Labs," said Houston. "The future has never looked brighter – we've got an amazing pipeline of games in development and our incredible Fae Farm [just launched] for the Nintendo Switch and PC."
"I couldn't be prouder of everything that the team has achieved together."
It is also being reported that Houston's fellow co-founders Sean Bender and Robin Mayne departed the company earlier this year.
Personal reasons were cited for the decisions to step down.
Fae Farm launched this past Friday and is sitting at "Very Positive" on Steam and debuted in the Top Ten in the UK boxed charts.
Phoenix Labs was acquired by Garena back in 2020, but the Phoenix Labs management team secured funding earlier this year to buy the developer back from Garena.
