Dauntless's Cosmetic Hunt Passes Are Now Yours To Keep Beyond Each Season
"Frankly, we wish we had sorted this out sooner!"
The latest State of Dauntless dev blog from Phoenix Labs revealed lasting changes to the future of Hunt Passes. Amidst years of trying to make purchasing Hunt Passes "fair and fun for all players," Phoenix Labs finally decided to lift expirations on their seasonal cosmetic Hunt Passes and bring back classic rewards for Slayers to earn them on their own time without missing out.
The kicker is that there is another Hunt Pass this time around, the Slayer's Commission Hunt Pass, and both have been available since April 14. The cosmetic Hunt Pass is full of gear skins and bonus rewards and condensed to 30 levels as opposed to the standard track throughout Dauntless history. This will allow Slayers to get to the goods quicker, but there won't be a free track on this pass and future versions, however you will be able to keep them forever with no expiration date!
The other, the Slayer's Commission Hunt Pass, is a new type of seasonal track with 100 levels. This version does have a free track combined with useful rewards like rams, merits, bounty tokens, aethersparks, transmog tokens, and more. Unfortunately, this pass will expire at the end of each season, with a new version available when the next comes.
