Overwatch season 3

Overwatch 2 Season 3 begins tomorrow, February 7th, and with it comes plenty of updates to the game.

A new Antarctica-themed control map headlines the update with some unique sights including an ice-breaker ship and an underground drilling station.

Asian mythology is the theme for Season 3, with the Amaterasu Kiriko Mythic skin being available in the new battle pass.

Overwatch 2 is promising more rewards more often in Season 3 with 10 additional tiers of rewards on the free track, 1500 credits to earn in the Hero Gallery, and 500 more credits on the Premium track of the battle pass. Additionally, nearly all Epic and Legendary event hero skins from the original Overwatch will be available to purchase in the Hero Gallery.

But let's not forget about that dating sim... The Loverwatch Dating Sim (yes that's what they call it) is a text-based dating sim on a website where players can choose to woo either Mercy or Genji. Players will be presented with dialogue options that they can use to interact with their selected love interest. Reach the secret ending to earn a themed play of the game highlight.

Also, be on the lookout for a One-Punch Man collaboration March 7-April 6 with new skins and cosmetics.

You can check out the full breakdown of what's coming to the game in the near future on the official Overwatch site.

Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
