The Cycle's Second Alpha Playtest Takes Place Later This Month, Offers Three-Player Groups
The Cycle continues its alpha-within-a-beta later this month, with another closed alpha session starting up on July 22. This test will let prospectors team up in groups of three, which is the only group number from one to four that's currently not available in the game -- which sounds rather like a Monty Python joke. "The number of the group shall be one, two, or four. Three is right out."
The test will also make weapon attachments available for the first time, which will help you deal with the "reworked wildlife." Also new in this test will be improvements to the progression system, private quarters, and other quality-of-life improvements.
If you participated in the previous alpha, you're automatically enrolled in this one. Otherwise, you'll need to register for the test, which you can do via the Epic Games Store or Steam -- with the latter still being targeted to receive The Cycle in Q3 of this year.
