The Cycle Is An Upcoming F2P PvPvE Match-Based And Objective-Oriented Shooter From YAGER
Dreadnought's development studio may have hit upon some hard times, but its publisher YAGER is still at it, developing another soon-to-be free-to-play game in The Cycle.
The Cycle is described as a "match-based first-person shooter with an emphasis on PvPvE action." Players will gear up, complete MMO-quest-like jobs, and form (and break) alliances on the fly, with the ultimate goal of scoring the most points and making it off an alien planet alive.
The game's name comes from the Cycle, "world-spanning storms that kill anything dumb enough to set foot planetside." Oh, and there are also monsters that scale with each Cycle and deadly radiation. Have fun!
From the sounds of it, and to look at the trailer, it offers a battle royale-ish experience, but with more varied gameplay than simply "gear up and kill everyone and avoid the ring of death." You'll certainly be doing some of that -- though gear is crafted between matches using materials gathered from the planet rather than acquired directly by looting -- but YAGER clearly hopes that the parts of what make The Cycle different will help it stand out.
The Cycle will have an alpha test next weekend, March 28-30, which you can sign up for on its website. A closed beta will follow this spring. You can follow development on the game's website.

Also just watched the video on a different gaming site (not sure if I'm allowed to post name here :P ) but anyway it didn't have much gameplay but in the end you could see a bigger group of monsters arriving just like in Firefall.. seems very similar so far.
