Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown Is Headed To The Colorado Rocky Mountains
And a little into the future.
Crytek’s extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown is moving West and into… well, its future. It’s still the past for us. The developer revealed the next step for the game, now titled, Hunt: Showdown 1896. Instead of trying to escape the Bayou, players are now fighting for survival in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Specifically, the fight will take place in Mammon’s Gulch, Hunt: Showdown 1896’s first map.
The gulch is a new biome with enhanced verticality and new vantage points. Quite a bit can be seen from the mountain peaks, but there’s still a lot going on unseen below, particularly in the mines. Mammon’s Gulch consists of sixteen compounds spread across the map. Players will be able to explore abandoned towns, mines, and other areas as they fight to survive. Be careful in the mines. Horrors are waiting there.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 arrives on August 15th and this is all on top of the engine update the game will be receiving in August!
