Mothman, Chupacabra, And Other Cryptids Take The Field In Rocket League’s Sixteenth Season
Sasquatch, Mothman, Chupacabra… The gang’s all here.
There are definitely places I’d expect to see a random urban legend pop up. Chupacabra, Mothman, and Sasquatch all have specific places we identify them with. Rocket League isn’t exactly one of them. After all, the games take place in the middle of a giant car-soccer field, not the woods. Until now, it seems – when they’ve moved the field to the woods.
Rocket League Season 16 introduces an all-new arena, Drift Woods. And yes, it’s situated in the middle of the woods. It gets creepier, though. When the lights go out, the woods become Haunted Hallows. Then, it seems the cryptids come out to play. Mothman appears as both an antenna and a Decal, Chupacabra is a topper. Players can pick up a Ghoulpost antenna, wheels with teeth, and a bat eye topper as well.
The update also introduces the BMW 1 Series and 1 Series RLE to the sports game. Both use the Octane hitbox and are eligible for cross-game ownership with Fortnite (at a later date). The season starts on September 4th.
