CRSED F.O.A.D’s New “Fangs” Content Update Adds Cross-Platform Multiplayer
It also adds a new vampire champion ... “Fangs” … get it?
Today an unusual new individual joins the ranks of Champions in Gaijin Entertainment’s battle royale CURSED F.O.A.D. as part of the new "Fangs" update, as the vampire Bram van Helsing takes to the field, bringing with him new rituals, weapons, and more.
Once an occultist with an obsession with blood, van Helsing eventually developed a compulsive desire to drink it – making him more or less a living vampire. The compulsion became so bad he eventually became unable to sleep and decided to go to rehab for treatment. While there he met someone who told him about the F.O.A.D. murder games and decided this was where he needed to be.
Being the vampire that he is, van Helsing boasts abilities like “Flock of Bats,” which allow him to change into bat form and move quickly about the area. Transforming into a bat also provides him with a “vampirism” status which returns 50% of the damage he does to an enemy to him as health. Two of the new rituals introduced in this update also impact him directly. The “Sun Eclipse” ritual reduces the damage done to him by 70%, while the “Killing Sun” ritual causes him harm.
In addition, a new gravestone has been made available to players: The “Coffin of the Undead” turns a zombie loose on players upon it being destroyed.
For those of you who have been waiting for cross-platform play, now is your time. As of this update, PlayStation and Xbox players can finally play together in the same session. They can also join cross-platform squads and chat.
