Crota's End, A Reprised Raid From The Original Destiny, Is Now Live In Destiny 2
Fight the Hive prince responsible for the infamous "Great Disaster" on the Moon.
Where my Destiny (1) players at?
Crota's End raid, a well-known feature from Destiny's initial expansion, The Dark Below, is scheduled to debut in Destiny 2 today — as part of Season 22 Season of the Witch. This reprised raid offers players the chance to relive the pivotal battle against Crota, the Hive prince responsible for the infamous "Great Disaster" on the Moon.
Operating in a contest mode, the race to complete the shooter's raid within the initial 48 hours begins and unlocks access to the raid's Challenge Mode. Successful fireteams will be granted the opportunity to tackle the "Superior Swordplay Triumph," a feat that entails challenges tailored to each encounter. The fireteam that conquers all of Crota's End's challenges and claims the spoils from the final chest will secure the esteemed title of "World First" and will be bestowed with Crota's End World First raid belts.
While specific rewards have not been revealed (well, SOME was in the TWID blog), it is anticipated that equipment from the original Destiny game will be reintroduced into Destiny 2 (as per previous reprised raids). Envisaged weapon drops might include items such as Word of Crota, Fang of Ir Yut, and Oversoul Edict. There’s also the exotic auto rifle, Necrochasm.
