The CrossfireX Open Beta On Xbox One Has Begun
With over one billion registered players, Smilegate's Crossfire is probably the most popular shooter in the world. If you don't live in Asia, though, you've probably never played it, but you can try it now, with an open beta for the Western port, CrossfireX, that just started today on Xbox One.
Three game modes are available in the beta: Spectre Mode, Team Match, and Point Capture. The first two sound like variations on typical Counter-Strike gameplay, with one side using stealth and melee weapons in Spectre Mode and both teams trying to plant C4 explosives in Team Match. Point Capture is a more traditional deathmatch, with both teams trying to obtain a certain number of eliminations.
Participation in the CrossfireX open beta will net players the X-B.C. Axe weapon skin when the game launches later in the year. The beta runs until 9 p.m. Pacific on June 28. Learn more on the Xbox CrossfireX site.
