CrossfireX Available For Preloading On Xbox Prior To Feb. 10 Launch
Smilegate's military shooter offers free-to-play multiplayer with paid campaign.
Smilegate's latest attempt to bring its of mega-popular shooter Crossfire to western audiences, CrossfireX, is now available for preloading on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The game was originally announced for a 2020 launch date, but that was pushed back to 2021 and, just recently, given a launch date of February 10, 2022 -- one day before Smilegate's Lost Ark launches in the West.
CrossfireX's multiplayer aspects will be free-to-play for all Xbox players, while the story content, along with the first season of the battle pass and Gatling Gun Gold Wing can be preordered as part of the CrossfireX Ultimate Pack for $24.99 ($29.99 after the Feb. 10 launch). The two single-player campaigns were developed by Remedy Entertainment and "will immerse players in a sprawling global conflict between Global Risk and Black List, two of the world’s most formidable private military factions."
