CrossfireX Adds New Search & Destroy Map, Weapon Mastery System, And Gameplay Improvements
The latest content update shows a lot of promise.
Smilegate Entertainment's multiplayer first-person shooter CrossfireX rolls out its latest content update today for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Outside of quality-of-life improvements, a new Search & Destroy map is now available, and a Weapon Mastery feature that'll let players earn and show off unique Name Tags for being good with certain weapons.
Arriving in Classic and Modern modes for CrossfireX, the Market Place map features three distinct attack routes that'll present new battle opportunities for Search & Destroy enthusiasts. Players who fancy close, medium, or long-range combat can utilize the various pathways to venture through the map and surprise their opponents. Here, all players could begin gaining experience points for the new Weapon Mastery system by completing matches. Based on the weapons used and their performance in a heated match, players will slowly get Name Tags to brag about their gameplay with certain weapons.
Before stepping into battle, now players can test their loadout in the newly-added Shooting Range, with the ability to switch between Modern and Classic aiming styles. Various targets are available to determine weapon accuracy, recoil, and spray pattern. Also, to celebrate the update, CrossfireX has a new Playtime Event where players who complete two matches on five separate days can permanently unlock the KALASH-103 Shadow Gold weapon skin. The event will stay live until the next patch.
You can read more about the latest content update from the patch notes on the official CrossfireX website.
