Creative Mode Coming Soon To Valheim... Also, A Hardcore Mode
Players will soon get the option to have total freedom in the game world, or make things even more difficult.
Whether you like a challenge or just want to get creative, the next Valheim update will get both sides of the coin excited.
Lead Designer Jonathan Smårs of Iron Gate Studios, the developer behind the survival game, posted on Twitter a preview of two new game mode options: Hardcore and Hammer.

Hardcore mode features harder combat and more ferocious monsters, as they will raid your base more often. Also, all items and skills are gone forever upon death. Moreover, there is no map available to players, nor portals.
On the other hand, hammer mode is pretty much the exact opposite. All buildings may be built for free and there will be no raids on bases. Monsters won’t even attack if unprovoked. (Everything else is normal though, in regards to difficulty.)
The team is also adding an immersive mode that will feature no maps or portals but also a difficulty slider. When players are faced with an impossible challenge, they may make things easier via the menu. Combat difficulty, loot loss when dying, monster raid frequency, and resource rates can all be adjusted on the fly.
No release date for this patch was confirmed yet, but it's likely soon…maybe even the very next update.
