Eve Online Guardian's Gala

Once again Eve Online’s Angel Cartel and Serpentis pirate factions are holding a bit of a get-together to celebrate their ongoing partnership. And, once again, it’s up to the players to ruin their day, engage in big battles, maybe get some sweet loot out of the deal in the process. You know, a day’s work in New Eden, but with special considerations.

During the Guardian's Gala event, which is already underway and will run through February 22, players will be able to challenge themselves at new hacking and combat sites scattered throughout New Eden – which they’ll be able to reach quickly thanks to a warp-speed bonus in wormhole space. And they’ll definitely want to spend some time in wormhole space because there are VIP Gala sites located there that contain exclusive rewards for the taking, as well an increase in PvP loot drops.

If you’re not big on the space-based pew-pew but still want to participate, that’s where the hacking comes in. In fact, the hacking sites offer up pretty sweet rewards on their own, and – along with the combat sites – have the chance to drop stolen data fragments of the latest material compression tech. Collecting enough of these and giving them to ORE will pay out nicely, in the form of early access to new compression-related skill books.

There’s also passive loot to be had, too. During the event, players with Alpha Clones will receive 55,000 skill points while Omega Clones will receive 230,000. Logging in every day will also be rewarded with free SKINs and boosters, the latter of which are unique to the Gala and offer powerful bonuses. Get in there and do what you do best…cause trouble and be rewarded for it.
