Control Developer Remedy Entertainment Announces New Three-Person Co-Op FBC: Firebreak
It’s not a Control sequel, though it is related.
Remedy Entertainment is adding a new shooter to its lineup. Revealed at Microsoft’s Xbox Partner Preview, FBC: Firebreak, the 3-player co-op is set in the Federal Bureau of Control, whose headquarters are under siege by alien forces. Players take on the role of a member of Firebreak, one of the organization’s response units.
It seems that one thing the developers want people to know is that Firebreak is not a Control sequel or some bit of DLC. According to Remedy Entertainment Communication’s Director, Thomas Puha, the game could be called a spin-off, but it’s “its own, fully formed thing”. So, it seems that those who like the Control universe will be interested in this.
The game is slated to launch on Xbox and PC sometime in 2025. It will be a Game Pass offering and is available to wishlist now.
