Console Players Can Get To Scribing As Elder Scrolls Online's Gold Road Expansion Hits PlayStation And Xbox
Update 42 comes with base game improvements even if you don't buy the expansion.
Two weeks ago The Elder Scrolls Online released their Gold Road expansion on PC. Today's the day for PlayStation and Xbox players to hop into the MMORPG's new story as Update 42 and the Gold Road are now available on consoles.
Gold Road adds an entire new story (the team estimates about 30 hours of story) taking place in the brand new West Weald zone. You'll also be introduced to a new Daedric Prince along the way, but don't expect things to be very friendly.
The big new "feature" in Gold Road is the long awaited Scribing system. Allowing players to craft and customize their abilities, Scribing is a whole new way to tailor your character to your playstyle. Completing Scribing quests could also score you a multi-person mount.
Even if you don't own Gold Road, Update 42 has a few things for base game players, too. Your mail system has been completely overhauled, new decade-long achievements and rewards have been added for the 10th anniversary, and more.
