Conqueror's Blade Expanding From One NA Server To Two
We've all grown used to seeing struggling games with low populations merge their servers, but when's the last time any of us saw a server un-merge? A server split? You see, this happens so infrequently, I don't even know what to call it!
On Dec. 16, the Asterion server for Conqueror's Blade, which services all North American players, will be deactivated. In its place will be two new NA servers, Cloudwing Valley and Eagle Range, based out of Sunnyvale, Calif. and Washington, DC, respectively. All NA players will initially be placed on Cloudwing Valley, with the one-time option to transfer to Eagle Range. The new servers will be running on new hardware at their new locations.
My.Games says the move is being made so North American players "will be able to enjoy smoother and more stable gameplay, especially during critical in-game events like Territory Wars." Having personally experienced matches with unplayable ping, this move will hopefully make that issue a thing of the past, though cross-server matchmaking will still be in effect, with a priority for NA-based servers and players.

The mode is still in the works, but it is coming.
The event makes sense, as much as holiday events do, but I'm not sure about other things.
