Duelyst, a turn-based strategy game developed by Counterplay Games, officially kicks off open beta as of today. A competitive game featuring tactical combat, squad building and more, Duelyst offers players the choice of six factions -- each with their own minions, positioning capabilities and play styles -- to use in 1v1 matches against online opponents.

Originally funded on Kickstarter, Duelyst is the creation of a team of veteran game developers; including artists Glaube Kotaki (Rogue Legacy) and Chrisophe Ha (World of Warcraft, Diablo III, Overwatch) as well as Creative Director and Producer Keith Lee (Diablo III, Rachet & Clank).

In addition to the launch of open beta, Counterplay Games has also announced a launch window of "Early 2016" for the game.

For more information on Duelyst and to join in the open beta, head on over to the official site.

I have been playing this since the alpha stages and I must say this is one of the best (if not the best) turn based multiplayer strategy game out there. I generally like turn based games and TCG-s, and Duelyst just takes the cake.

The game develops at a very high pace. It has changed a lot in the past couple of months, therefore it will probably get even better very soon ^-^

Can't wait for the steam release. :3
