Community, Choirs, Composers, And Orchestras Collide In Recording Of New Dauntless Theme
See what went into the making of the new theme in latest dev blog video.
The call went out and the Dauntless community answered! The end result? An awesome new theme for the behemoth slaying free-to-play title from Phoenix Labs.
How do you improve on an already solid theme? Well, Composer Cris Velasco and the team decided to bring the community into the actual making of the theme. Featuring the Capellen Orchestra and Choir in the Czech Republic, the new theme aims to inspire adventure (and of course slaying!) and pulled in members of the community willing to lend their chanting to the mix.
Granted, this aspect of inclusion does add quite a bit of time to the mixing process for the final product but, as you can see in the video above, it really ends up working nicely and showed of a few vocal performances from fans that were just stellar.
After watching the "making of" above, if you're like me, you probably wanted to just give the whole track a listen...so I'm happy to oblige below.
