CoD: Warzone Will Go Dark For 12 Days During COD: Modern Warfare II and CoD 2.0’s Launch
The game should be back up and running on November 28.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty 2.0 are arriving just in time for the holiday season. Starting on November 16, players will finally be able to experience the new DMZ mode, many reimagined Multiplayer maps, and an added bonus with the Special Ops mission prior to the first Raid Episode. Players can also look forward to an all-new Battle Pass and–for sports lovers–a football-themed event.
Season 01 for Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 will go live at 10 AM PT on November 16. Please note, along with the launch of Warzone 2.0, Call of Duty: Warzone will be subsequently taken offline for 12 days in order to focus on the launch of the new game and provide stable online servers. Players who have played Call of Duty: Warzone will be given a few items to use in Warzone 2.0 as a small 'thank you', but as for their cosmetics, they will sadly be left behind.
Following the game's relaunch, players will have two different Warzone games they can play: Warzone 2.0 and Warzone Caldera. Warzone 2.0’s weapons, progression, and inventory systems will be tied to the new Modern Warfare II content and systems while Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera will continue as a separate game from Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.
Raven Software estimates that servers should return on November 28 at 10 am PT after the initial 12-day take down.
