Co-Op Your Way To A Successful Restaurant In Overcooked-like Game "Party Club," Free To Claim For 24 Hours
Fans of Overcooked will likely want to check this one out.
Overcooked and Overcooked 2 are played quite a bit in my household. The entire household is full of gamers, each with their own likes and dislikes. While there is some overlap in interests between family members, it isn't often that a game strikes a chord with everyone in the house. Overcooked and Overcooked 2 are exceptions. The number of hours that all of us have spent in this game (alone or playing together via couch co-op) is staggering. We're always watching for games in the same genre to try.
Today, Lucid11 Interactive and GameDev.ist have released one such game. Party Club follows very much in the restaurant-serving style, but adds to it quite a bit by making players responsible for more than just cooking and serving. You'll need to go through a "pack-up" phase to decide on the layout for your venue, get ready for a shift, and do the cleanining and repairing needed to keep your establishment attractive to customers.
Party Club supports 4 players in both online and local co-op and released on Steam for $15.99. However, the team is celebrating launch in a very unique way. Head to Steam right now and you can claim the game for free. The catch? You only have 24 hours to do so. Once it's in your library, you own it. If you don't get it by March 18th (tomorrow) though, yes, you'll have to pay for it.
