GDC 2024: Chrono Odyssey Drops Trailer, Reveals Buy-To-Play Model, And Is Up For Wishlisting Now
The open world MMO will allow players to manipulate space and time.
Today, during the State of Unreal panel at GDC, Chrono Studio and Kakao Games shared a new trailer for its upcoming, open-world, action MMORPG Chrono Odyssey. Since this was during an Unreal panel, it makes sense that the trailer is cinematic with lots of big scenes filled with armies, dragons, and action. There doesn’t appear to be any gameplay here, but Unreal Engine 5 sure does look pretty.
During the panel, the developer also announced that the game would be available on the Epic Game Store. In fact, the page is live now and interested players can wishlist the game if they like. That’s not to say it’s exclusive to EGS. Steam players can wishlist Chrono Odyssey there as well. The game will also be launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and will be buy-to-play. Kakao Games will pick up publishing duties.
Speaking of other pretty games on the horizon, Funcom’s Dune: Awakening was also featured in the State of Unreal panel. During their portion of the panel, they discussed how Unreal was used in not only making the game, but also the film. It’s an informative panel for those interested in film or game production. Dune: Awakening is also available to wishlist on the Epic Game Store and Steam.
