Heroes beware! Champions Online is unleashing a new set of villains soon, and they might be someone you know all too well -- or even yourself.

Coming Sept. 17, Supervillain Onslaught puts players behind the masks of some of Champions Online's iconic supervillains, pitting them against teams of heroes in cataclysmic combat. Both the heroes and the villains can earn rewards for these battles, including new gear and powers.

Perfect World's even got a backstory and playing tips for one of the big baddies, the overly mutated Grond. How overly mutated, you ask?

However, upon discovering that he was injected with the wrong experimental serum, he went crazy. When some prison guards attempted to subdue him, he was thrown into a shelf full of chemicals, which entered his body through the many cuts by the broken glass beakers. Potter was eventually able to fight his way past the guards and escaped the prison into a rainy night. He dove into a nearby heavily-polluted river, though at the same time lightning struck.

And you think you're having a bad day.
