Challenge The Vex And Take On A Reimagined Classic Raid In Destiny 2's Season Of The Splicer

We already knew that the Vault of Glass would be returning in Destiny 2's new season, and today Bungie showed off the rest of what's to come in the upcoming Season of the Splicer, which runs from May 11 to August 24.

The Vex are on the threatening the Last City, "plunging humanity's sanctuary into an endless night." Guardians will have to join up with a new ally, Mithrax, Kell of of the House of Light, who will teach them "the ways of a Sacred Splicer."

The six-player activity Override and the weekly pinnacle mission Expunge are where Guardians will confront the Vex. The re-imagined Vault of Glass opens on May 22, and takes the fight against the Vex to another level.

Less popular with players is the Armor Synthesis system that's coming to the game, though Bungie has acknowledged the feedback and might seek to make some changes before it goes live.

As usual, there will be a battle pass players can purchase to increase their rewards, and the number of activities available to them throughout the Season of the Splicer. Purchasers of the pass will receive the Exotic Stasis Sidearm Cryosthesia 77K, Season-specific Universal Ornaments, XP boosts, and more.
