Celebrate The Year Of The Snake In Guild Wars 2 Starting Today
The celebration is underway in Divinity’s Reach.
Today, the annual Lunar New Year celebration kicks off in Guild Wars 2, bringing a festival filled with games, fireworks, food, and more to Divinity’s reach. The festival lasts until February 18, during which time the MMORPG's players can earn all-new rewards, including cosmetics.
Players will receive their choice of weapon from the new Lantern collection upon completion of the annual meta-achievement. They will also obtain scaled leg armor with a tail design – the Snaketail Breeches. The developers suggest pairing it with last year’s Dragon Descendant’s Helm for a full reptilian look. Players can also obtain more snake-themed weapons as lucky envelope rewards. If they’d rather not rely on luck, the weapons can also be bought for gold via Sparking Stone in Divinity’s Reach.
The festival is open to anyone, no matter what level. All players need to do to participate is check their in-game mail for an invitation. A visit to the Wizard’s Vault wouldn’t go amiss either, as it will direct players to event activities needed to earn astral acclaim.
