Celebrate Six Years Of Sea Of Thieves The Pirate Way: With Gold, Of Course
By collecting shiny things.
High crimes on the high seas aren’t a terrible way to spend six years. Although, under normal circumstances, it might land you in a dungeon, but we’re talking about Sea of Thieves here and six years of sea-based mischief seems perfectly worth celebrating in this case.
Rare is celebrating the pirate MMO’s anniversary with some in-game events and shiny rewards. Beginning today, players can take part in the Sixth Anniversary Celebration and a fresh Gold & Glory period. During the Sixth Anniversary Celebration, players will find Legendary Messages in a Bottle throughout the world. Following these messages will lead players to Athena’s Fortune treasure. Pirate Legend status doesn’t matter.
As for the new Gold & Glory period, players will receive double gold, reputation, Seasonal Renown, Allegians, and Guild Reputation. Both events will last for five days – ending on March 25. More details can be found on the Sea of Thieves event hub.
In addition to the anniversary announcement, Sea of Thieves is also hosting a stream today covering content that will be rolling out across several seasons. At the time of the writing, they’ve posted clips teasing content from Seasons 12 -14. The full thread is linked in the Tweet below.
