Celebrate 12 Years Of Exploring The Final Frontier In Star Trek Online's Anniversary Celebration
The STO team has a month’s worth of festivities planned.
It’s been 12 years since Star Trek Online launched, and once again it’s time for the in-game celebrations. Beginning on January 25 and running through February 24, players will be able to take part in a series of activities that will eventually earn them the grand prize reward of a new Tier 6 ship. The ship in question has yet to be revealed, as Cryptic Studios plan to show it off later today at 4:30 Pacific via Twitch or Facebook.
That said, we do know what will need to be done to earn the ship. Captains will have to take part in activities like the new Red Shift episode and the Iuppiter Iratus TFO, both of which will earn players two daily progress points each upon completion. There’s also the Omega Molecule Stabilization game, courtesy of Q. He will reward players for stabilizing Omega particles located in various zones on a daily basis. Completing this task will earn players an additional daily progress point toward the grand prize.
In addition to the ship, there’s also a new party popper that players will be able to earn while taking part in the event; this one is Terran Empire-themed. Good thing ships are self-cleaning in the 25th century, to mop up all that confetti ...
