Eve Vanguard Solstice

It seems things are progressing nicely with Eve Vanguard’s development as it transitions from ‘First Strike’ to ‘Solstice’. The shooter, which shares the same ecosystem with Eve Online, Eve Valkyrie, and even Gunjack and which CCP Games says is built on the lessons from previous shooters based in New Eden, like Dust 514, entered its Solstice Era with an event that ran from June 20 to July 1. Now that that is complete, the devs have dropped a roadmap for everything players can expect for the rest of the year. The timeline is a little loose, consisting of periods marked “Present”, “November”, and “Beyond”.

All three periods include private founders’ VIP playtests and other events as well as dev diaries and Q&As. Present is where it seems the most individual work will be going on, focusing on the game’s economy, player agency, progression, and other gameplay elements. November will be when the London player gathering takes place as well as when a major update drops. Sometime after that – let’s assume December for now – will be the launch of Steam Early Access.

In addition to the roadmap, CCP also dropped an In Focus video deep-diving into the vision for Eve Vanguard. For a bit of fun, there’s an infographic showing off some of the highlights of the Solstice event.
