CCP Games Hosting 3-Day Eve Frontier Event, Offering Participants A Chance At $3000 In Prizes
The event will take place at CCP’s headquarters in Iceland.
CCP Games is hosting a hack-a-thon competition in Iceland, challenging participants to create third-party tools for the upcoming survival MMO, Eve Frontier. The event will last three days, running April 29 to May 1, during which time competitors will work to create tools that will “enhance player experience”. Examples given are maps and analytics dashboards.
Participants will use the Eve Frontier REST API and WORLD API to create their tools. They’ll also have access to in-game data, including public and private endpoints. The event will also introduce a new framework called PODs (or Provable Object Data) that will allow participants to better integrate out-of-game events and apps with in-game data. Details on the PODs system can be found on the POD.org site.
As this is a competition, CCP is offering prizes to participants. Those who win will receive up to $3,000 in Icelandair Vouchers as well as additional tickets to Eve Fanfest in 2026. Interested parties can register for the event online, or at the CCP Games headquarters. On-site participants will be given tickets to attend this year’s Eve Fanfest as well.
