Captaincy In Sea Of Thieves Is Getting Some Changes To Make Things Easier
Rare will be adjusting the system to require less gold and make progression faster.
Look at me, I am the captain now.
Recently, Rare introduced Captaincy in Sea of Thieves following Season Seven’s arrival. Now, there are several changes added to the action-adventure game following player feedback. These adjustments are coming in June alongside a Captain’s Week Event.
For starters, Pirate and Ship Milestones will be rebalanced to make Class progression easier, and reaching Legendary status in any Milestone Alignment will be significantly easier as a result. Secondly, the number of Classes required to unlock the four tiers of Trinkets will be reduced. Also, the cost for saving cosmetics to your ship will be free.
Moreover, the gold cost for ship decorations and Trinkets will be significantly reduced, and the gold cost for Captain’s ship cosmetics will be significantly reduced, too. Additionally, Captain’s Beds that unlock through Milestones will now unlock at Class 2 instead of Class 5.
Last but not least, in honor of Captains of high standing, an exclusive cosmetic — the Gilded Sovereign Captain’s Table — will be awarded to any player who accomplishes certain Pirate Milestones before Captain’s Week begins in June.
