You Can Stop Sending Messages To Riot, Competitive Mode Arrives In Valorant (Or, Maybe Not... *UPDATE*)
**UPDATE**
So, it appears there is going to be a delay in Riot turning on ranked mode in Valorant for a bit. The company announced on Twitter that there are some issues that puts competitive at risk, so they're holding off until they can get a fix for it.
We found another bug that puts competitive at risk, so we're holding off turning on ranked for a while longer. Sorry for the delay, we're working as fast as possible to get a fix and, when we get one, we'll turn ranked on. Predicting a day or two, but nothing confirmed yet.

Original Story
Okay Valorant players, Riot has heard you and would like to request that you quit messaging them about Competitive Mode, because it's being implemented in patch 1.02. The patch implements various changes to several agents, weapons, and the game map in addition to Competitive Mode.
When made available, Competitive Mode will feature a few changes made since Beta, including updated rank iconography, a new top rank title, and an expanded skill disparity range for playing with friends. The top rank is "Radiant". There's also a new surrender option, for when things get a bit too hairy.
Players will also see a change in tagging that improves their chance of escape if they're near cover and there have also been changes to the game's menu. Full patch notes for the update have been posted on the game's site.
