Call Of Duty: Warzone Is Going Mobile, But Different From The Other Call Of Duty Mobile Planned
Seems like it'll be the eventual fate of most IPs.
If you can't get enough of Call of Duty: Warzone on consoles and PC and you’d really like to take it with you…everywhere, then you're about to be in luck. The Warzone team has announced plans for a mobile version of the popular title. Or, rather, they’ve announced that they're hiring people needed to make a mobile version of Warzone. Soon, players everywhere will be able to scream obscenities at their teammates in the park, on the bus – anywhere but the privacy of their own homes where we can't hear them. Okay, maybe their families will appreciate the quiet for a while.
The mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone won't just be a port of the existing game. No, they plan on building the game specifically for mobile, meaning it should hopefully offer a better experience to players on the run than something quickly cobbled together from an existing version on other platforms.
Because of this whole "building-from-the-ground-up thing," there's a need for people to help build it so a call has been put out for those with experience in mobile game design to join the team. That is, of course, if you'd like to work for Activision right now.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
