Bungie Wins Major Court Decision In Harassment Case Involving Death Threats
The Court came to the aid of a Bungie employee who was the victim of harassment.
It appears Bungie has scored a major court victory over a serial harasser of one of their employees. According to Twitter user Kathryn Tewson, a paralegal at KUSK Law Firm in Seattle, the courts have found fully for the plaintiff, Bungie, and have ordered the defendant to not only refrain from any further contact but also to pay Bungie's nearly $500,000 in legal fees and investigation costs.
After working with MANY outstanding professionals to identify the culprit, a racist shitstain of a human being named Jesse James Comer, we filed a complaint in King County Superior Court to hold him liable for the damages Bungie suffered due to his sociopathic conduct.

You can read that order here. (Yes, it says Proposed. It's the final order nonetheless -- it's signed.) https://t.co/uQcdJzDp8x

It sounds like Comer didn't bother to show up in order to defend himself according to the Tweets by Tewson. Comer was accused of leaving several voicemails containing death threats toward a Bungie community manager and also asked that he have the option to kill people of color in Destiny 2. Comer then proceeded to call the community manager's wife and had pizza sent to their house as a cash-on-delivery order. These incidents date back to August of 2022, which shows just how slow justice can be.

The final judgment says Comer may not contact any Bungie employee, nor have any other person contact them on his behalf, for any reason. He is also refrained from harassing any Destiny 2 community member, including but not limited to any player, streamer, artist, or other content creator. The man has gotten himself blacklisted from a game he seems to have been obsessed with.
