Bungie Previews Upcoming Sandbox Changes In Destiny 2's Next Big Patch
There's adjustments to weapons, abilities, and Crucible tuning ahead of the Into the Light update.
This week in Destiny…
Bungie has provided a preview of the upcoming sandbox changes in Update 7.3.5 — scheduled for March 5 — which includes adjustments to weapons, abilities, and Crucible tuning, in preparation for Destiny 2: Into the Light in April. Players are also invited to celebrate the Lunar New Year within the action shooter, with special events and items available at Eververse. In case you missed it, there’s a collaboration with BioWare to introduce new themed items and emotes inspired by Mass Effect characters to Destiny 2.
The aforementioned update includes significant adjustments to abilities, weapons, and perks aimed at improving balance and introducing more variety. Barrel Constrictor and Loose Change receive buffs for enhanced effectiveness in both PvE and PvP, while adjustments to Dual Loader, Tex Mechanica Origin Trait, and various perks aim to provide clearer mechanics and improve gameplay experience. Crucible Sandbox undergoes extensive changes as well to address gameplay issues, such as increasing player health, adjusting ability cooldowns and damage, and modifying weapon archetypes to encourage primary weapon mastery.
Other highlights include the next Trials map and a deal for the game on Humble Bundle.
