Bungie Plans Destiny 2 Announcement -- Probably The Witch Queen Expansion -- For Next Tuesday
Bungie has a big announcement concerning Destiny 2 planned for next Tuesday, one week from today. What will it be for? Your guess is as good as ours, as the announcement of the announcement didn't reveal much:
A look back before we look ahead.

The "look ahead" part of the Twitter post all but guarantees that we'll be learning about the game's next expansion, an announcement that's been in the making for months; back in July, we were told to "survive the truth" and prep for some big announcement on the 24th. And, if you can cast your minds all the way back to February, you'll recall that Bungie promised the Witch Queen expansion for 2022, delayed from its initial launch window of this year. Assistant Game Director Joe "Joegoroth" Blackburn called that expansion "an important evolution in the ongoing story of Destiny 2" and that the team needed "enough time to build out this journey in the right way."
2022 is still five months off, however, so we'd anticipate there will be something else to go with the big reveal, possibly about upcoming seasons, for Guardians to fill the time before the expansion hits.
The website for the announcement doesn't have any other significant info, apart from the exact times of the announcement next Tuesday: 8 a.m. Pacific for the pre-show and 9 a.m. for the real deal. Tune in then to learn what it's all about.
