Bungie Increasing Prices Of Destiny 2 Season Passes But Not Adjusting Bundle Prices
Prepare to pay 200 Silver more.
Destiny 2 players interested in picking up the Season 21 passes are looking at paying more. In the latest This Week at Bungie, the developer revealed a price increase for both the regular season pass and the season pass + 10 ranks bundle in the shooter.
Normally priced at 1,000 and 2,000 Silver respectively, both have been increased by 200 silver. That means players will now need to drop 1,200 to 2,200 Silver, depending on which they want.
This is going to make for some funky math for players when purchasing silver. Previously, players who wanted the regular season pass would be able to purchase the 1000 (+100 Bonus) silver bundle for $10 and have 100 silver left over. Now, they’re probably going to need to drop an extra $5 on the 1500 Silver package to make the season pass purchase. Those buying the +10 ranks bundle, on the other hand, will be okay. They’ll still just be spending $20 for the 2000 (+300 Bonus) bundle. It just means they’ll only have 100 silver left over to play with instead of 300.
The good news is that that the Lightfall standard edition, which includes access to the current live Season at the time of purchase, as well as the Lightfall + Annual Pass edition are not having their pricing updated, so perhaps this is where players will want to be spending their money going forward.
