Bungie’s Game2Give Campaign Raises More Than $3M With Over $180K Of That Raised During A 5 Hour Stream
Players redeemed more than 220,000 Destiny 2 emblems.
Over the weekend, Bungie’s Game2Give campaign came to an end, after raising a record-breaking $3,135,136 for the Bungie Foundation – an organization that supports a variety of charities. The original goal for the campaign was $2M, but over 65,000 generous players across 120 countries managed to smash that goal by more than half with an additional $1.1M.
A sizeable chunk of those donations came in during a five-hour Game2Give livestream last Thursday. During that time players donated $180,000. All totaled, players redeemed over 220,000 Destiny 2 emblems as part of the drive.
Bungie shared the good news, as well as a VOD of the livestream, in the latest This Week in Destiny post. That, plus information on the shooter's new weapons and general updates can be found on the Bungie site.
