Bungie Drops New Trailer And Details For Destiny 2's Season Of The Haunted
Return to Calus's Leviathan megaship and commune with the pyramid on the moon.
Destiny 2's seventeenth season is on the way and Bungie has finally decided to send players back to the Leviathan megaship. Only this time, things are going to be different. The ship players will encounter now is "corrupted" as part of Calus's plans to serve the darkness – which involves communing with the dormant pyramid on the moon. Of course, we all know where this is going. It’s time to stop him.
As part of their mission to stop Calus, players will be revisiting some familiar, yet different, places. They will also cross paths with "Nightmare" demons. It seems these demons include facing the past as well. Face dead fireteams and deceased lovers. The Nightmare battles will take place in the Leviathan, and will be available to all players.
On the other hand, a paid season activity is also available. Titled Sever, this activity takes players into the belly of the Leviathan to discover more about Calus’s plan and to take away his control of the Nightmares.
With all this talk of the moon, it shouldn't be surprising that some moon-themed rewards are available in this update as well. According to Forbes, there's even a Ghost Rider-looking armor players can pick up.
