Bungie Discusses Destiny 2 Season 21 Ability Tuning, Especially Supers
Work needs to be done following the recent changes to subclasses in the game.
Bungie’s made several changes to the abilities in Destiny 2 this past year – particularly the conversion of Void, Solar, and Arc subclasses and the addition of the Strand subclass. Because of this, they’ve decided it’s time to take a look at these changes and fine-tune some things in the shooter.
According to a post on the Destiny site, the developers are looking to do a few things. These include increasing the viability of roaming Supers in PvE content, incorporating subclass keywords into some of the Light subclass Supers, reducing the number of unlimited uptime mobility in the Crucible, and increasing buildcraft capabilities in the Stasis and Light subclass aspects. As part of the adjustments, the developers have decided to expand fragment slots from one to two. They don’t feel this will make them too overpowered, and note that there’s no commitment to a minimum of two slots for future aspects. So, later additions could be back down to one.
The developers are also working on improving Supers, taking passes at individual roaming Supers and underperforming burst Supers to make them more viable in-game. They’re also increasing PvE damage resistance by about 20% for all Supers. There are quite a few more changes listed on the post, breaking them down by classes and sub-classes. Destiny 2 fans will want to go through the whole list.
