Bungie Announces Charity Effort To Help Australia
In an effort to raise funds to assist with Australia's efforts responding to the ongoing bush fires, Bungie announced plans to sell a limited-edition T-shirt to raise funds for two organizations involved in containing the fires and rescuing endangered animals. The shirt is currently being developed and will be available for purchase from the Bungie Store beginning Thursday, January 16. They'll remain up until 9 a.m. Pacific on February 18 and will come with an exclusive Destiny 2 "Star Light, Star Bright" emblem redemption code.
As mentioned, the funds will be divided between two organizations. The first organization is WIRES, a wildlife rescue organization. The second is NSW Rural Fire Service in the state of New South Wales, where the fires have been particularly bad.
In addition to Bungie, CCP Games is also organizing a charity event to help Australia as well. The company hasn't outlined its full plans for fundraising, but it will be a Plex for Good campaign. More information on that will be available within the week. So, if you're interested in helping out with that, keep an eye on the EVE online forums.
