Bungie Adds New Accessibility Features For Destiny 2, One Of Which Helps Color Blind Players
The Season of the Deep update will have the “Enemy Targeted Reticle Color” and “Full Auto Firing" settings.
This week’s “This Week At Bungie” is a special one.
In the weekly update, Bungie announced new accessibility features coming to Destiny 2 with the Season of the Deep patch. For starters, an “Enemy Targeted Reticle Color” setting is being added to the shooter game. Players will get the option to change the hue of their hip-fire optics, which is important for those who are color blind.
Besides that feature, the team is also altering the “Full Auto” setting, which was introduced in Season 19, to read as “Full Auto Firing.” That’s because it allows all weapons – with the exception of a few, and including melee ones — to keep firing when the trigger button is held down. Additionally, the Confirm and Cancel buttons may be swapped and the text of the HUD can be tweaked.
While the new accessibility features are a big deal for many players, others can look forward to the unique exotic weapon ornament — Arbalest — coming soon to the game, as decided by the community. The vote for the next one is now underway, too. Check out the full details here.
