Bungie’s 30th Anniversary Celebration Brings A Little Halo To Destiny 2
The free anniversary content is now available to all players.
As we all know by now, Bungie is celebrating its 30th anniversary with new content in Destiny 2. The content we’ve talked about previously is the DLC players have to purchase in order to play. But there is some free content dropping for the event as well. This consists mostly of a new six-player match-made activity, along with “hidden secrets”, and various rewards. Players can get a glimpse of the new content in the trailer – which does look a bit exciting.
The free content also includes some very special weapons. Halo fans might recognize them – even though they don’t have the same names, but that last part really doesn’t matter. As you can see in the image, players will be able to pick up the battle rifle, energy sword, and Magnum. There are some other Halo-inspired goodies as well but you’ll have to pick up the DLC pack to get your hands on them.
