Broken Ranks’ “Hvar’s Wastelands” Update Makes Things A Little Hot

Whitemoon Games dropped a new, free content update for its MMORPG Broken Ranks today. The update takes players to Hvar’s Wastelands, a fire-themed zone designed for characters level 90 or higher. The new zone is filled with fresh activities, new enemies – including champions and an elite, a new instance, and a boss-specific quest. The instance features Hvar as the main boss and is available in both Adventure and Challenge levels. The former is intended for level 90-130 while the latter is for players level 120-140.

To begin their adventure in Hvar’s Wastelands, players will need to pick up the “Shadow of the Flame” quest, which will tell the story of the master smith Vendar. At some point, Vendar lost everything in “a tragic incident”. Hvar gave the smith a gift, supposedly intended to give his life new meaning. Seeing as players will be facing off against Hvar, there was obviously some sort of catch. More details on the update and its content can be found on the Broken Ranks site.
